Well it looks pretty but they provide no information about it whatsoever.
- Can you change the meter response time between fast and slow?
- Can you change the measurement scale from A weighting to C weighting?
- Within what range of frequencies an SPL readings is it accurate?
We don't know. 'Point and shoot to get a quick reading' tells you nothing about its capabilities but I would bet it simply uses the A weighting scale with a fast response time and would only be good for measuring total sound output - not for calibrating levels in a receiver. Unless you can get more substantive info on its capabilities, I would avoid it.
