Have an old Sony in the box Home Theatre. Wondering if that receiver can push Pioneer SP-B22. I am currently waiting to get a newer A/V receiver. But want some cheap good quality bookshelf speakers in the meantime. Just don't know if that wiring is suitable for those speakers? Any info would help, thanks

You mentioned that it was an "in the box Home Theatre" - it may well have been sold with a surround speaker set as an option, however that model was sold as a standalone receiver so should be compatible with a wide variety of speakers, including the Pioneer SP-BS22's.

Yes, it was. It had 5 satellite speakers and a sub to go with it. I just want a better L/R speaker that is cheap, yet good quality. Amazon has them onsale for 89.99 right now. I can go into my local BestBuy tomorrow and they'll price match. Thanks for the reply. I'll be getting the BS22's tomorrow.
