I could create 8 different groups of Cd's and playback and shuffle one group at a time or shuffle one disc (tracks) or all disc's of all groups. Or I can program specific tracks of specific disc's.

I could also use my PC keyboard and plug it in to write Memos more quickly to identify the Cd's as I load them in the 300 slots.

Being a Sony, of course it will not decode DTS music disc. But I don't mind using the DVD player for those, because the intent is to play the entire DTS disc and not shuffle a bunch of them.

Anyone familiar with this CD changer. It has a capacity of 300 disc's and you can program and shuffle playbacks. Optical connection to the a/v.

I have it's older brother and it works fine. Although I did learn a valuable lesson, tipping it on end while struggling with cables to another component was not a good idea as a CD came loose and jammed the carriage. I haven't bothered to enter CD names, but did name the groups. Use all eight groups and occasionally will allow the changer to mix all eight :) Go from easy listening to top 500 classic rock to jazz to kids cRap to christmas music. That's always fun in the summer time.

I finally opted for the Sony's CDPCE375 5-Disc CD Carousel Player. All I have is 45 CDs and 5 at a time is good enough.

Waiting delivery from Sony in a few days.

I'll be able to shuffle the 5 disc's or even program just the tracks I want to listen to.
