Has anyone acquired a Sony BDP-S1 yet? It's been out since early December and is actually in inventory for purchase. If you have one, my questions are:
1. Can you get 1080i or 720p over a component connection?
2. How well does it play standard DVDs?
3. Is the HDMI output version 1.3?

pretty extensive thread on this over at avsforum actually several. It doesn't do HDMI 1.3

Owner of local video store told me it would output 1080p from a regular disk and it was my understanding that 1080i was the most you could upconvert a regular dvd, isn't that correct?
