I spent at least an hour putting monster toolless connectors on, then taking them back off because i thought they didn't work. Only to find out they screw on counterclockwise. I only cost myself time and money tho.
Am I wrong or didn't you admit that you had the negative line going into the positive on the receiver? I guess in the end TLS was right and was giving you sound advice.

I'm not trying to cause problems but he wouldve saved you (and him) a lot of time if you did what he suggested in the first place.

I think you need to read all the threads I posted before you make an informed decision. I rewired the receiver correctly and it still wouldn't complete the calibration. So I guess you buddy is not right. Damn how will all of you go on if your god isn't right this time? (LOL) All you guys crack me up.

I think you need to look at my profile. I'm new to this forum so I don't have a God or any buddies yet. However, TLS did give me some good advice and sure as heck seems to know what he's talking about.

I read the thread you started and it seemed to me that he kept telling you the same thing and you still didn't get it. He was only trying to help you out. Only you will know if he was right if you ever happen to try a newer receiver.

Anyway, the info in your thread helped me immensely (TLS info). I have several different types of speakers in my setup and hope they're all wired the same once my new receiver comes in next week and I run the setup. If it doesn't, I'll def have a starting point for troubleshooting.

Didn't you write this: "I rechecked all my wires and noticed that my right side surround speaker wire had the positive going into the negative for the input on the receiver. So I rewired it correctly and now all my speaker wire connections are correct. I did a system clear on the receiver and ran Audyssey again.

I am not sure if this was the problem or not on the Onkyo 3008. I will not know now because I sent the receiver back yesterday."

I assumed you didn't try to rerun Audyssey in the 3008 again so you can't say whether TLS was correct or not.

You're right, it is bed time. I assume TLS felt the same way too when we was trying to get you to understand. I also assume you're tired of being on an island.

Like I said earlier "dude" the info in your thread helped me too, so I appreciate the read.
