I bet those subs and the Epiphany's are a killer combination. So does it sound better than live music???

And when's the Audioholics member listening session at your place? ;)

Depends on the live show. Acoustic live shows with proper seating and room acoustics are hard to beat. Many shows using PA systems don't always sound so great to me.

In any case, the Epiphany /W210 combo is definitely a killer combo. When you restrict the Epiphany's to 200Hz and up, they are simply perfect. The corner load subs are unlike any sub setup I've ever heard, live or recorded. The control with which they present even the lowest frequencies was not something I thought was possible. Of course they need to be used with the TACT gear. I'll probably order another pair for the HT.

I'll be renovating my house for the next 6 months. After it is complete and I have my dedicated 2 channel room and dedicated HT room complete, I'd be happy to have any fellow gearheads over for a listen.

Latest addition... Bel Canto PL-1A to be used as an audio-only source into my TACT ADC6 and TCS MKII (via AES). As you see, it matches the TACT gear quite nicely:

Picture of the 5 Eggleston Andra II setup with 5 TACT BOZ 216/2200 amps used to bi-amp and set crossovers. With the room correction of the TCS MKII, I can run each of the Andra IIs fullrange (taking advantage of their dual 12" drivers) and use the Velodyne only for LFE.

Epiphany 12-12s are being upgraded to 20-21s, so pictures of those will be coming shortly.

It's time to update from that teeny-tiny tv, isn't it Sleestack? ;) If it all sounds as sweet as it looks....nice.

The sound is what it is all about. I've really never heard anything more balanced.

The 50" is just a filler until the home renovations are done, but I'm not much of a video guy anyway. It will be used in conjunction with a projector system in the HT.

Yes. Those. Mine are Madcasar Ebony and I'll be using quad cornerload subs. However, room correction is a must with such a setup.

Hey Sleestack, what exactly do you do with all of your leftover gear? In the last year alone I think you have upgraded your main system three times!!! Good gracious let me know when you have a "garage sale"!!!
Great looking (and I presume sounding) rig.
Take care,
chux

What else... it pays for my new gear. The core of my system (TACT preamp and pre/pro and speakers) is not going to change. I swap sources frequently and amps less frequently, just to keep things interesting.

I'll post a pic later, but w. HD material, the picture is stunning. I have it hooked up to the Panasonic Blu-Ray player. I can't speak for content, but Stealth in Blu-Ray is mesmerizing. I'm not sure that at $9-10K it is necessarily a value purchase, but I have no complaints. I really like the fact that the commercial model accepts blades, which will soon be upgraded to HDMI 1.3. W/ 1080P and 1.3 this set should be good to go for the near future.

That's a lot of money, but not that out of hand for purchasers like Mark Cuban. I'm hoping that within the next 2 years top quality 100" LCD or plasmas will run in the$40K range. If not, the 85" aren't looking too bad either. I'm more than happy with 65" now.

A shot of the 2.2. channel in its new room. The proper corners and higher ceilings make the setup sound completely different than the prior room:
