Hi all,
I'm a fairly new ********** and have a few questions.
How important is it to have a receiver or pre-pro with HDMI in? I have a Denon3805 which doesn't have HDMI, does that mean I'll likely have to upgrade in the future? Does HDMI mean that's the only connection I need with a DVD player, or will I need a digital coax/optical for the audio? I also have the Denon DVD2910 which has HDMI, but I was expecting to connect that to a TV.
During my search for speakers I've also learned a little more about powering them. Is it better to have a separate amp hooked to my 3805 which I would use as a pre-pro? How do I hook them up? I see the pre-out jacks on the 3805, but they look like regular coax connections. I didn't see that same kind of connection on the amps I've seen. Is it a special wire? I've read the 3805 review and about biamping and all, but many of you on this forum seem to like separates instead.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
