Solution for playing lossless music digitally on home stereo setup

Do you have any idea how you do wake on demand in Windows 7?

I'm a Mac user, but check under power settings.

Yes, that's what I meant--I would access the NAS drive which is plugged into my router. The question is how would I interface with my library (say, iTunes) if I'm accessing it off a network drive?

set up the NAS as a DLNA server, access it with a DLNA client (receiver, Oppo, etc. ). I believe an apple TV or airport express can also find the music on a NAS, Sonos can as well.

Well it depends on what you use. If using a DLNA server to an Oppo for example, there is no ipad or iphone app. Sonos and Squeezebox do have apps.
