Soldering iron repair?

I love it. I write a simple B&M (not brick & mortar :D) post about a cheap soldering iron that died, and the two Irvs run deep with it.
I resent that, or resemble that, or maybe both.

@Swerd, I haven’t heard of this soldering iron and your post just might be the reason why. These days china has just flooded out market with cheap soldering irons that need replacements often, a marketing strategy that ensures that you have to keep replacing parts which given them profit. I’d recommend using a hakko or weller soldering iron which last for decades at times. Also, I have never tried the ghetto return policy but it sounds like an interesting answer to the multi-millionaire corporations earning lots of profit from us.
