The OWNER’s manual is a spiral-bound electronically scanned copy from the original. It is in color and double-sided JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL. It is as good or better than anything you would get from a professional reproduction company.
The SERVICE manual is an electronically scanned copy of a copy – I bought what I thought was at least a first generation copy of the SERVICE MANUAL for $19.95 plus $4.30 shipping (you can still find the ad on Ebay). It turned out to be a second-generation photocopy and about a third of the highly touted “service technician’s notes” were on the front cover and some of the notes on the inside were cut off!
Also, the schematics that were originally fold-outs were on two (sometimes three) pages. The only consolation was that all the printed text and the schematics were readable although not of the best quality.
I have taken the time to make the schematics into fold-outs and electronically scanned the manual so there will no longer be a loss of quality. I have also taken the time and expense to spiral-bind both manuals (I received the service manual in loose sheets!).
I am doing this only long enough to cover my expenses and to give people an alternative to an exorbitant price.
