Snake Oil at it's Best...

Guys,

just look what I've found here... isn't it a real gem at all ( ... my precious, though...)???

The best part of it - IMO - is the.. three decompression holes in the cable... well, you know, physic laws just rules all over!!

But... the very, very best part of it is this one here, as described below; a real snake oil gem, indeed:

... " that these cables are exceptional must be clear by now. Once a pair is included in a system, the sound characteristics change dramatically for the better. If you then return to the best you had before, a lot of things come crashing down. Hard. The image deflates, coherence splinters and speakers reappear. The golden trio of timbre, dynamics and timing gets broken up in comparison to the Liveline unity...."

Give me a break; that's too much for the pain, isn't it??

The sad thing is someone read that and bought $5000 interconnects......... Oh well there is a sucker born every .0000009876 seconds in the "audiophile" world...

You're pretty darn sure Jamie,

it just gets somehow difficult to may brain to understand WHY some suckers DO fall into that trap so very often, though... Let's be honest though, you don't need to be a Mr. Spock to know what logic is, right??

Look at this work-of-art...

three decompression holes improves the sound dramatically :p

It's time for me to change all my cabling though, or at least buying some thin bit drills and start doing holes on every cable I have ;)

So then, it can be tuned by shifting the holes and by adding more. Interesting EQ;):D

The holes are obviously there to allow air in to the cables, and therefore your sound system. One hole wouldn't be enough because that limits your ability to have air flow through the connector. Much like a gas can, you need to have a second hole so there is no vacuum. Clearly this company was thinking ahead by adding a third hole, should there be a blockage in one hole two holes would still be open. You wouldn't have to get up ever 5 minutes to check to see if your holes were blocked would you? That would not be convenient during those long listening sessions. Of course, I'm sure they'll recommend you check for blockages before and after each listen. Cable maintenance is every bit as important as maintenance of your other analog devices such as stylus/cartridges, tape heads, and of course you ERS paper if you happen to be using it.

And if you cover each hole in succession (while maintaining the covering of the previous hole(s)) you can play "Hot Cross Buns!"
It's only three notes. Each is a whole step apart.

The air from the holes is actually for the electrons. They work harder when they can breath, as many of them have respiratory issues. I have holes in all of my cabling provided pro bono from my cat Bogart.

Going by his eyes, I would indeed say that he's been Bogarting your joint. :D

Plug in a cable in and hang him in the window, best HD reception comes with whiskers facing out.

You know what?

For the best possible performance, they should have said to listen to Bob Dylan's classic... Blowing in the Wind, though... Only then you'll realize why those 3 holes are so important for a perfect sound experience :p;):D
