The sound quality is far better in this huge room...
Experimenting with different material from extreme bass music like Blue Man Group's The Complex "Persona", "Piano Smasher", "The Current"... If you haven't heard this album.. OH MY GOD does it have some deep bass tracks..
Persona is the first song I go to to test my settings.. amazing.. the pounding of those taiko type drums is so cool... they sound perfect.
I have some MTX tracks I downloaded that just push the realms of excursion that vibrate my house, and they are much more uniform now, clearer in every way.
But most importantly the way subs now blend with the mains is just seamless. I love good quality recordings like Diana Krall's "Temptation" or Ray Charles Duets album "Here we go again" with Nora Jones or "Fever" Natalie Cole, will really reveal the blending of your subs... They blend effortlessly.
Bass is tighter, cleaner, more visceral... seems much more dynamic and powerful. You can feel it spread throughout the entire room more, and pounding of the seating positions that just amazes me..
WOTW emerging scene is just plain freaky now.... Toy Story 2 opening scene is just wicked.. Serenity movie, when the ship is entering from orbit...
Just down right bone crushing bass....
I think its worth every penny, you could also do it with a BFD for cheaper and its totally worth it to use an External EQ... Now Im wondering if getting a pair of Ultra13's would be cleaner then what I have... hmmm
