Great choice! tiger direct has them on sale mostly. Call them and ask the rep If you can get them for $200 shipped for the pair. It worked for me when I had them.

The towers were just on sale a couple weeks ago for 200, with the center at 70. If you want an in home trial, Best Buy will match, but I haven't checked the price on Tiger Direct so not sure if there is a good price to match.

I thought I was finished. I made an offer on some BIC FT-6T's and the center FH6-LCR. They offered 139 each for the towers and 100 for the center shipped. I want to say that I do love the Klipsch sound and use the speakers for more movies than music. I also like to play my movies loud.

I don't know if I said this in the first post but my room is an open concept room with a 16x18x12 room open to a 10x12 area. Will the Pioneer's be enough? Do you still recommend the Pioneer's over the BIC's? I can't listen to the BIC's but I have listened to a lot of Klipsch's.

OK, so I have officially decided on the Pioneer's. However, I read they really need some power to them. I was planning on getting the Denon AVR 1713 on A4L for 269. Is it enough to power these speakers or do I need to get another receiver with more power but sacrifice the Multi EQ XT?

I power my Pioneers with a Yamaha 471, and think they sound fantastic, they fill a fairly large room with vaulted ceilings. I had no problem getting them quite loud sitting almost 12 feet away. I have not looked at the specs for the 1713 but I would imagine it is pretty much identical if not maybe a little more powerful. To make a long story short you should be fine, and I believe you will be quite pleased with the result. Taller does bring the Boston A360 on A4L into play, again in the price range we are talking they would be the competition I would consider. Most places sell them for 400 each but you can get them 400/pair at A4L new, but you have to take white. I must admit the white looks good in the pictures, but I don't know how good it would look in room.

Also, I'm not sure it would matter to you, but the Pioneers are 2.5 way not 3 way as listed in the above specs.
