Small center speaker

I am looking for a speaker for use on the center channel and needs it to be rather small as it will be sitting at the base of my monitor. The demensions that I require it to be are as follows ( it can be smaller); Length- 14inches, Height- 4 1/2 inches, depth- 5 inches. I have my crossover set at 120HZ so it needs to handle that and above. I would prefer it be under $100.

Thank you in advance.

I doubt your going to find anything matching those requirements. ~3inch drivers are not going to get you down to 120hz with any authority. You may want to consider running a phantom center.

I have been looking at the athena micra series and it's center meets my requirements but I can't find the center sold on it's own.

Perfect size but out of the budget, I will keep a look out for a lower price though.

The RBH is $167.

The Athena is $175.

What's the budget?

$100 is the budget. Size is my primary concern, it does not need to play loud or fill a large space. Sound quality just needs to be good/average.

try this one... at least you can set the crossover down around 80 or 90.... it's in the budget and pretty close to the size you mention.

no absolute guarentees on the final sound quality and how it matches to whatever you are using as mains. I have their larger speaker with 5 1/4 mains and it's a solid performer.

That looks like it will do the job perfectly, I am sure the sound quality will be better than the speaker I have now. Is that a trust worthy site to order from?

I have only ordered once from them, a Belkin HDMI cable, but it came very quickly and was well-boxed. I would order from them again. :)

I ordered the BIC 32c and the matching left and right speakers, the total for all three came to $103 including shipping. Thanks for all the help with this, I have no doubt they will sound better than what I am using now. When I get them I will post up my impressions.

Too large, as I said before the Micra center is about the size I am looking for.

My bad. I thought the .5 meant it was the same as the one in the .5 system you said would work.
