Slight crackling from speakers; should I worry?

Your memory serves you well. Yeah, it was from ubid. I've got a Radio Shack right up the road, but I'd pose the same question I did earlier; would spraying something like this on the unit void the warranty? These weren't refurb units, the were factory new, and thus come with a 3 year warranty through Marantz..I don't want to void that. At the same time, it's a total hassle to have to mail it to them...not to mention, I'd have to be without it for who knows how long. This is frustrating.

Don't get frustrated. D&M Holdings is awesome. Same headquarters as Denon. They'll bend over backwards for you. Call them tomorrow and let them know the issue and that you've talked to a few guys here for advice. See if they recommend the cleaner before you send it in. Get the guys name, and if it doens't work, you can put his name on a letterhead that he recommended it and they'll fix it without question.

Yeah, I may give them a ring tomorrow. I'll give them time to respond to my e-mail first. I signed up for that owners circle thing when I first got it, so I was able to send them an e-mail. I'll see if they get to that by about mid day or so. If not, I'll give 'em a ring. I'm just hoping I won't have to be with out...I use it for everything; music, movies, xbox, etc, so being without it, though not crucial, would be a bummer. I'll know more tomorrow I suppose.

Okay, more baffling news. Tonight, I was playing my xbox. The audio on my xbox runs into the back of my tv. I then have audio out from my tv running to the VCR input on my receiver so I can have tv through the receiver when a channel is not using digital audio. Anyhow, while playing, I figured I'd try to recreate the crackly/static-y sound I was hearing....and I couldn't. I cranked it way up too, higher than I've ever actually listened to it, and not a peep. No static, no crackly. Very weird. Now I'm really confused.
