Sleek, sexy, and good sounding speakers?

I have a tiny house, and living room--probably 12 x 14. Anyway, I'm looking for a set of speakers to go with our flat screen. The telly is mounted by a high traffic area in the living room so I can't get any speakers which stick out more than about 6" from the wall. Height doesn't matter so much. Having them wall mounted is a must due to children and animals, so no to speaker stands. I really don't want to mess with in-wall speakers either.

Any suggestions? Budget, $250 or so.

Suggestions for a small sub to go with the two speakers? Budget, $150.

Will be using it for music and movies. Music, 40%...movies, 60%.

Go to Audioadvisor.com and do a search for Athena. They have about the bes/ least expensive solution that I am aware of to your problem.

For a sub in your price bracket many recommend the Dayton 10" and 12" subs available at Partsexpress.com. You may be able to find the dayton subs cheaper on Amazon though.

The new onwall speakers by Revel are surprisingly good at their price but they are about 500 a pair.
