To each his own
Exactly. I personally would never buy Bose and most of the regulars on the forum wouldn't either but it serves a purpose for a segment of the population and so be it.
Even if you
do care about audio quality there are real life factors that serve to limit what you can do. It is not always possible to have the 'ideal' setup so we do the best we can. Now it doesn't take much to better than Bose but still we each have to pick a level that suits our needs whether they are constrained by dollars, room size/shape, aesthetic considerations, or whatever. In the end, the enjoyment of the music or movies is what matters and who cares if any one of us can easily hear a deficiency in some frequency range if the owner of the system is just pleased as punch with it?
The EMP speakers that Audioholics is selling at a great price may very well be a great deal but they are butt ugly and I wouldn't buy them for that reason alone...let's try to remember that there are myriad factors to consider when purchasing any equipment.
