This is a great idea that ought to include concert DVDs for the stage/visual performance.

I like the Eagles' Farewell I Tour. What else would you recommend? I also like Pink FLoyd's Pulse for the surround effects. Anything else out there?
Nirvana Unplugged in New York DVD

Nine Inch Nails - Beside You in Time
(Blu-Ray, HD-DVD or DVD ... probably the most impressive concert DVD I have ever seen, the sound and video is amazing)

Eric Clapton - Crossroads

I've got the Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds on Blu-Ray. It's not much of a stage show. Just two guys with guitars on a stage. That does put the emphasis where it belongs, on the music instead of the presentation.

Plas Johnson/Red Holloway tenor sax

I bought this Plas Johnson/Red Holloway - Keep That Groove Going CD after hearing something by one of them on XM, I love the tenor sax and the Gene Ludwig organ.

Great choice, Plas is the man.
