Simple but complicated to me -

I have an Onkyo HT-RC180 and I have Apple TV connected to PORT. Everything works great. Well, warmer out in MI and I connected my outdoor speakers to ZONE 2. However, ZONE 2 will only play Analog Signals??? I would like to Play playlists, through PORT to Zone 2 outside.

Onkyo support not responding. Anyone out there have an idea? Thanks.

Your problem is port. Try zinfandel instead.

It's normal that zone 2 will only play analog signals if that's your question.

Is "PORT" an analog or digital input? Check your Onkyo manual, or Apple TV's manual.

Which model do you have? The 1st gen had analog audio connections. For the 2nd gen model, audio out of the ATV is only digital so you won't be able to use it as a source for zone 2.
