I have a pair of headphones, I have a SigmaTel high definition audio built in sound card in my Intel motherboard, anyways - without installing the actual SigmaTel driver my audio is very high quality and loud... important: my headphones are plugged in the "speakers" jack, not the "headphones" jack - because the headphones jack is broken.
Now when I install the SigmaTel audio device, it realizes that my headphones are not plugged in their proper place, so instead it shows them just as "front speakers" and i cant change this from the menu, as there is no option. so the maximum sound volume becomes significantly lower and I'm quite unhappy with that.
Help, please? is there a way that I can get around this? Maybe fool my driver or change the function for each jack (not physically though, I'm horrible at that)
