Should adding an amp to the fronts effect the surrounds?

I am very happy with them. They have a clarity I had not heard before. They are not from the THX line, they are the big brother to the 750 series which is THX certified. M&K told me they didn't bother to get certified for whatever reason, but they seemed confident they would pass certification if they were submitted.

Hey, I understand your point about how freeing up the receiver to send power to the surrounds only will make your system sound a bit better. But, what about in my situation where I have the HK AVR 7300. The 7300 send around 120-150wpc to every channel (7.1). My polks are good to 120watts. So getting a pre-amp wont really help my surrounds anymore will it? My RTi10's can handle up to 300watts and the center can handle around 210watts.
