Okay, so besides having an audio addiction, digital camera addiction, I also have a shortwave radio addiction.
I don't even understand why I bother with shortwave radios nowadays, since most stations are on the net anyways, and they sound way cleaner over the net. But still, the thrill of having a small radio in your hand that has the power to receive shortwave is a surreal experience...
Anyways, I have 2. One is a Sony SW7600GR, the other is a newly acquired Eton E10. Both are nice. But the Sony is a step above the Eton, especially with regard to the headphone out. The headphone out on the Sony has considerably less background hiss compared to the one on Eton. It's a shame really, the Eton E10 is a really nice radio. Form factor wise, it's step above the Sony. But Eton really should have invested in a better quality headphone amp.
