shielding speakers...

Is it possible/feasible to shield older speakers. I have a pair of older speakers that I really like. I have the chance to purchase 4 more, so they would make an excellent 6.1 system.

any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Xsound, I did a Google search on "shielding speakers" and found a bunch of sites that cater to your very need. All of them require that you open up your speaker to apply the shielding.

There's a product called "MuMetal" that you wrap in several layers over the magnet assembly that looks kind of promising, and it's not too expensive to try if you're feeling adventurous.

Generally, the best advice is to buy sheilded speakers and sleep soundly.

Thanks for the tip. Guess I could have done that for myself, just thought there might be someone here who had already done it. I will go and do a search now and see what kind of results I can get.
