Who actually makes the speakers sold under the Sharper Image brand? Are they as awful as they look?

Why such a big enclosure with what amounts to be "pop can ends" drivers? Oops just saw the 5" powered sub part.

I think they are claiming that the one tower does stereo (even though it only has one tweeter, and the midranges are vertically aligned!) Oh, and I meant awful as in POS, not awful as in ugly.

I wouldn't buy it on principal alone..as if something like this could even approach a decent stereo system sonically.

I happened to wander into their store at the mall the other day, saw this, and thought "you have got to be kidding!" Oh, and I agree that all of their stuff is junk, not just their speakers.
