Hello everyone

So I just bought a new stereo receiver and am trying to setup my system.
here's what I'm trying to accomplish.

I want to run two sets of speakers, one set for the backyard (think i've got that down) and a 2.1 speaker system in the living room for a home theater type setup. My Tv is mounted over the fire place and all my components are located in a closet in the hallway.

Here are my questions.
whats the smartest way to connect my tv,ps3 and cable(directv) to my receiver and can I have the option to just run the tv speaker if I don't wanna have the other ones going without disconnecting things?

since all my remotes controls run on rf or bluetooth because i have no line of sight to my components is there and adapter or something for my stereo receiver? and can I only control volume through the receiver?

here's my component list
52" samsung lcd
directv box
ps3
Yamaha rx-497 stereo receiver
jbl control now speakers (backyard)
need to buy inside speakers and sub (any suggestions?)

thanks in advance
