Setting up my system ONKYO 702

Ok, I have the ONKYO 702 receiver with the set up mic. I'm running B&W DM302's for my fronts(left/rights) and B&W CC3 center channel speaker. My surrounds right now are my old KLH loudspeaker(3 way) I'm running a Boston Acoustic 1'tweeter and a 4" mid and a 12" keenwood subwoofer. I'm in the process of buying another pair of DM 302's for the surrounds and use the KLH for my Zone 2 speakers. The rear I'm also looking at B&W's. But my main concern was setting up the Fronts & center channel. Onkyo gives you an adjustable EQ also along with setting up for small/large speakers. THX mode say you should adjust all speakers to small but it still plays if some speakers are set to large. I also have the option fo 40/60/80/100/120/150 HZ. 80 being THX selection. If you go into the EQ option you can adjust 2.5KHZ,8KHZ and HZ also. So my question would be what to set the speakers to small/large, what should I set the HZ to and should I adjust the EQ? Thanks sorry if this thread is confusing

If the sub is powered, the safest bet is to set the front speakers to small, the crossover to 80, and the EQ to 2.5 KHz. This may not give the best sound, which will depend alot on how your room is set-up, but is a good starting point. See how that sounds, then tweak a little with the crossover.

Make sure the crossover on the sub is set as high as it will go. You want the crossover in the receiver to do the work, not the one on the sub. :)

If you don't have one of the test disks, you can use the THX tests off the Star Wars Trilogy or a few other DVD's to evaluate the quality of the sound.

Thanks alot... I do have a subwoofer 8" Infinity, and I know you can set the fronts to lg and turn on double bass and it redirects the bass out of the fronts to the subwoofer.
