I am new to this forum and would appreciate any help in connecting the following items together for the best viewing results:-
TV - Hitachi 42PD7200 has 1 x component input, 1 x composite input, 1 x DVI input, 1 x HDMI, 3 x scart connections (2 of which are RGB), 1 x S Video.
SkyHD Digibox (awaiting installation), will be connected to TV via HDMI?
DVD/VCR - Panasonic Nv-VP33EB comined DVD/CD player and VRC. This unit has RF In and Out sockets, 2 a scart connections (marked 'AV1 TV' and 'AV2 EXT'). I don't think that either of the scart connections are RGB.
Once I have this lot connected, when the SkyHD has been installed!, I will also want to connect the following :-
Sony TA-VE100 Integrated AV amplifier, with five speakers plus a SA-W10 subwoofer. (I think that I connect the five speakers via standard speaker cable to the amp, and then connect the subwoofer 'input 1' to the amp 'surround mix out' via an RGP lead). The amp has the following connections, 2 x scart 'Video 1' and 'TV', AUX left and right (white and yellow), VIDEO 2 (yellow, white and red), SURROUND Mix, plus Left and Right (white and red). I just need to know how to connect the amp to the TV, DVD or Sky digibox.
Ideally I would like to only have the TV and digibox turned on for normal viewing (with amp and dvd off), but if it is necessary to have all four units turned on at once so be it. I will also want to connect PS2 and camcorder sometimes, I presume this will have to be done with red/white/yellow leads?
Sorry to have to post another 'newbie, help' request, but each set of set-up instructions that I look at differs from the last.
