Newbie here -- looking for recommendations for how to set up my Hsu sub with the surroundbar ("5 channel" speaker in one box). My room (and wife) doesnt allow for mutiple speakers. Any recommendations -- main concern is that the Polk instructions recommend NOT using the sub out but using the receiver center channel out for both one of the Surroundbar speakers and the sub for best sub performance... Would this matter if i had the right crossover setting and use the sub out or is this a "better" setup? thanks

You can use the sub-out approach. You'll probably need the x-over set at 120Hz or higher.

great -- thanks for the response. One question: the "recommended" crossover for the sub is 90hz or 100hz. Can you help me understand why i would set it at 120hz? Does this make the sub handle mid-bass more than its designed for... I assume crossover is the frequency at which the receiver lets the sub do the work vs. the speakers?

Thanks again

Depends what the frequency range is on the surround bar? If the 90-100hz is the recommendation from Polk you should be fine.

Edit: You are correct about the crossover. Make sure the crossover switch on the sub is in the "out" position.
