Separates vs. Integrated?

The DCX will improve the SQ of any of these listed speakers, with the exception of some fully active ones like the higher end Genelecs, because these have variable BSC and treble graduation adjustments. But all of the passive ones will have great improvement by use of a device like the DCX to make these fine adjustments.

Thanks Chris, I'm just starting to learn more about this Digital Active Crossover, the DCX.

I'll admit it, from years of reading about audio, I don't know too many reviewers that use the DCX. Perhaps, I'm missing something, or they do!

Exactly. Most are ignorant of many things critical for maximum SQ. The DCX, being a professional audio device, would likely turn off many so-called audiophiles just upon mention. :) There are also 'high-end' costly processors to use in place of the DCX(the DCX is suitable for any level of fidelity, but a 'high-end' expensive item makes some people feel more comfortable), but even then, it's rare for these people to use items that maximize potential SQ.

Chris, you are really starting to make me stop here and rethink things over.
And who am I to say things that I never experienced in the first place with?

I guess that I got to get my hands on one of those DCX, and start experimenting with, before I can comment.

Hmm... You might be into something good here that I just don't know yet about. I hope that you don't have too many new solutions of how to improve the Sound!
Actually, why not, this is exactly what I'm after. :)
And if you do convert me, you are converting a lot more people too, because I spread good news like fire in a wheat field.
