I need advice on which way to go for my "home theater", I'm putting an Optoma H31 projector in my 12' by 12' bedroom and it will be hooked up to DVD HD Satellite and PS2. I need a system that has the capability to connect with all of these. I'm looking to wall mount the speakers and I want a HTIB I believe you call it where the receiver, subwoofer and speakers all come together without a DVD player. Not looking to break the bank here and it is a small room so any help woul be appreciated. $500-600 a possibility? Thanks all....

Well, I know that Onkyo and Yamaha make some decent HTiB systems, but I'm not a fan of the HTiB thing. If you could extend your budget somewhat, you could put together an awesome system (not including cables) for a little under $800 shipped. Yes, it's more than you want to spend, but in this price range, $200 extra makes a TON of difference. Besides, I don't know of ANY HTiB that has 3 component video inputs (which is what you require).

This system would include:

4 BIC DV62SIB Bookshelf speakers from Amazon
1 BIC DV62CLR Center Speaker from Amazon
1 BIC V1220 Powered Subwoofer from X-10
1 Pioneer VSX-815-K Receiver from JR, recently reviewed at Audioholics

You can find the Pioneer cheaper than JR online, but buying from JR (an authorized dealer) insures that you get the warranty from Pioneer. And besides that, unless you hit up ebay, JR basically is the cheapest price online ($249.99 with free shipping).

This whole setup comes to $787.85 and as far as I can see, would kick the pants off any HTiB.

Yeah, the 3 component inputs is whats going to get ya, I haven't seen one that comes with any component inputs. Getting the Pioneer would be a good choice and you can always find a sattelite setup to go with it, but it'll probably go about the 500 dollar budget, by like jaxvon said, it will probably be a huge step up from a HTIB system

There's no "probably" about that statement. It will most definitely stomp on a HTiB.

sounds like I gotta suck it up and mix/match, I'd like to stay around $800.

What are my best options for:

A) Receiver
B) Woofer
C) Speakers

and what wires do I need for the H31, DVD, DirecTV HD and PS2 for best performance? Thanks for your patience I know zilch.
