You also may want to check out UBID.COM some nice receivers. I picked up one there I was going to buy at a local store for $1000.00 got it for $305.00 including shipping and it was new not refurbished or a return. So a good deal can be had.

Hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but purchasing a $1000 list price electronic item at approximately a 75% discount (after adjusting for UPS costs) to a retail customer is a bit unusual and suspicious.
refurbished, return, floor-model, close-out, grey market, or even stolen is my best guess as the source of your receiver.
I am the VP of our family business that sells equipment, including digital equipment, to commercial and retail customers. I am responsible for setting wholesale and retail prices and policies. I am not aware of a single segment of electronics industry that has moderate priced goods with such a great discount/price structure that the seller could sell "A" quality, current product line, at such a steep discount.
If such a discount/price structure did exist and could support such deep discounts to the consumer, our friends at WallyWorld would have already aggressively entered the $1000 receiver market.
