Screwed Up, bought a Tivo

I've been an avid DIY HTPC guy for almost ten years. Recently I upgraded my home theatre to something built this century (ha!) and wanted to be able to record premium cable.

So, given changing life circumstances (baby) I thought I'd give Tivo a shot since it's an out of the box solution that works with premium/encrypted digital cable.

Wow was that a mistake! Tivo is such a huge step down feature wise, but most problematic is the inability to either copy or stream most of the content I record due to copy protection. I want to be able to record shows in the living room, and watch them in my bedroom or on my PC in my office (without buying more crappy Tivos!)

So, now I'm looking into going back to DIY, and I've found out that there's hardware now that will allow me to use CableCards with Windows Media Center. I know nothing of WMC as all my previous PVRs have been GB-PVR or Linux based.

The question is: Can I setup a WMC pvr in my living room, record a copy protected show, and stream/copy (preferably STREAM) it to my office/bedroom devices that are also running WMC?

(luckily I'm still in the 30 day Tivo trial so I can get out of the 2 year agreement, yay!)
