Great review! Could you please explain the 5 degrees limitation further? It looks like it is a retroflective screen.
Hello all
The projector offsets and angles must be maintained because of the filtering properties of the screen. You are correct that vertical viewing angles are compromised, but they fall well within the normal installation parameters.
The screen can’t filter out direct light that is behind projector or direct light that is broadcast on the screen from that angle. The screen really can’t determine the difference between projected light and direct ambient light from that angle. The screen has no AI although that would an interesting concept a photosensitive screen, Any investors out there?

Horizontal viewing angels are about 25-30 degrees. Considering this is a high gain screen that’s pretty good. We had a house full of guests to watch Nascar some were sitting at about 30 degrees and we had no complaints
Another consideration is most projector installs fall within the 5-degree specification anyway unless the individual has super high ceilings and uses projectors with allot of lens shift to compensate.
I was waiting to hear how its "dark room" performance was. Sounds like you dont lose too much performance.
They claim a gain of 2.0, yet it didnt seem to be any brighter than the carada 1.4. Is that correct?
The gain figures are correct, I would not say the Image was brighter on the Carada I felt that in a totally dark room the image looked a little more dynamic and the colors looked more natural on the Carada white screen.
Also, for anyone interested, I believe you can obtain a DNP supernova screen
This looks interesting, I cant comment on that screen until we review it but I am going to assume that something is different possibly build quality or material There are similarities in regular screens as well. Stewart, Da-Lite, Draper, Carada and VuTec are all at different price points But go compare the Stewart to the VuTec and you will see why the Stewart cost so much more
My schedule as been pretty hectic but I will try to keep an eye on this thread I hope you all enjoyed the review.
