Hello,

I had a gigabyte g1 sniper z97 motherboard for intel 4th gen processors that has creative sound blaster sound system. And in the software it has scout mode which is amazing for everything, it boosts the audio with much more clarity.

And I just upgraded my system to the new z790 motherboard that has Realtek sound system but in software it doesn't have the scout mode option and the sound is heavy for me.

Any suggestions for a solution to get this feature on my current system ? Should I buy creative sound card ?

It sounds like you liked a specific DSP mode. These could be done regardless of sound interface. My suggestion is this software: https://equalizerapo.com/
Also, I am not a big fan of ANY in-side PC sound interfaces, but I much prefer external ones, like Motu M2 or Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

edit: I found a bit more info here: https://us.creative.com/technology/scoutmode/
It sounds like you're SOL and this is a 100% Creative proprietary solution that you have zero chance of getting to work on anything but creative sound devices. Still thought, I recommend going with an external dac/amp from Creative.
You can find the list of "Scout" supported DACs on the URL above.

I don't know about the two systems you mentioned, I barely know that creative blaster system. But I'm sure you'll like it.

The creative sound blaster is 10 years old on the z97 motherboard, and to me it's better than the current Realtek one, it has more features + the wonderful scout mode.

But I'm sure other companies are doing similar features for gaming sound clarity.

Yep, there's one on amazon for $40, but I don't know if it supports this feature or not.

According to the scout link above, FX isn't listed as support but this $50 card is:
Notice the V2 difference.
I'd also suggest purchasing the optional expansion card if you ever wanted to connect your pc to a modern receiver

Thank you so much for the advice, if I went with the $40, then I didn't nothing ! Where my whole goal is to get the scout mode :)

I don't know what a receiver is.
