Wow Maze, I guess you know a lot about the NY Giants, but not much else. I'm shocked.

5.0 Mustang put a Techco blower on the stock GT and made 419.5 RWHP.

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/m5lp_0907_techco_supercharger_kit/ford_mustang_techco_supercharger.html

Edelbrock's E-Force blower will take a GT to 466 RWHP!!!

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/superchargers/superchargers.shtml

The SS is only one tenth of a second faster than a stock GT in the 1/4 mile, yet has over 100 more HP!! The Mustang is 300 Lbs lighter than the SS, so indeed simply slapping a blower on one will net you a faster, more nimble car, while being less expensive.

Next time, make sure you know your facts before you go shooting your mouth off.

I had a GT Mustang with the 4.6 in it......it only had 190ish rear wheel horsepower. Im pretty sure the new GT mustangs dont have much more than mine did. So im going to have to respectfully call BS on a supercharger adding 250 plus rear wheel horsepower. I like the Mustang and the Camaro, but Chevy has the edge in the horsepower battle.

Peace,
Tommy

How about intercoolers/superchargers......650HP.....

That must be a major dyno BS?

NO SHOT..

CMON.. Supercharge isn't gonna add that much HP.. and there's no way that a supered-stock "stick" is anywhere near high 10's... come on..

I bought new speaker wire this week and my mids are creamier......

The current Mustang GT has 315 Hp and 325 lb/ft. That's a far cry from the 215 Hp 4.6 you probably had in your Mustang, unless you had the 99 to 04 version with 260 Hp. At any rate, the current 3v heads are much better than the older 2v heads, especially the non-PI version. It shouldn't be a stretch to get 450+ Hp by supercharging a new GT.

What is the deal with all you shmucks popping off when you're totally clueless?!?!

My stock GT dyno'd at 283 to the wheels. I put a Bullitt CAI on it with a Predator tune, (NOTHING ELSE) and it dyno'D at 293 to the wheels. I'll scan the dyno sheet and show you.

The 10 GT's put out 315 stock.

I guess EVERYBODY that's been putting blowers on GT's and getting into the mid 400's fairly easily are just lying.

Gimme a break.

Thank you Dave!!

Jeez. If you don't know what you're talking about, just keep your mouth shut. People just love to bash Ford's I guess.

Yup. The current stock Mustang will out run many of the classic musclecars, Hemi, Big Block, whatever. (with a few exceptions like the 302DZ Camaro and some few others) Not only that, but it's safer, more efficient and handles like a slot car right out of the showroom.

Many people also do not understand the change from gross horsepower used in the 60's to net horsepower used today. We are privileged today to be living in an era of 300 horse v6's and 400 horse v8's with supercharging and turbocharging options that we could only dream of "back in the day".:D
