Hey Guys,
I have a somewhat stupid question. I just bought a SC-37 from audioholics and just finished setting it up last night. My Fiance is all over my butt about hooking her Wii back up. Since it has a Nintendo proprietary connector going into the wii to rca outs can I hook the Rca connectors into the receiver and let the hdmi from the receiver to my tv do the rest? or do I still have use rca from receiver to the tv? Thanks!

It depends on whether or not the receiver will convert analog video (in this case Composite Video) to HDMI.

If it will, then the HDMI cable from the receiver to TV will show the Wii video; if not, then you'll have to run an additional composite video cable from the monitor out of the receiver to a different input on the TV and change the input on the TV when you want to view the output of the Wii.

C'mom MDS, Top of the line Pioneer Elite Receiver can't upscale analog signal ? :D
Of course it can, Tommy - Yes, it's ok to keep single hdmi cable from receiver to tv at all times, regardless of how many inputs you'd use in the future on SC-37.
In fact it's highly preferred.
Connect whatever to AVR and single hdmi to TV.
btw: your best bet to get highest video quality from Wii is component cable like this one :

Wii can't do HD, but with this cable you'd get 480p - thats the best Wii could do

Sweet! As far as quality signal tho, its probably the one source I could give a damn.lol Its my fiance's wii, I never use it, and the only reason its being hooked up with the rest of my equipment is because the tv is high up enough that it would take some real skill to chuck a wii remote at it. Its currently upstairs and every time she plays I fear my beloved bedroom tv is going to get owned by her wii remote. Thanks Guys!

I don't know every receiver model number on the market and didn't bother to look it up. Did I say it couldn't upscale analog video to HDMI? No.

I said IF it can (and apparently it can) then it will work.
