Thanks for your input SHEEP.
1.)You only need an inch MAXIMUM of bare wire for banans, binding posts, anything. So don't strip off a foot.
I have like an inch of bare wire, I was referring to taking out the red/black
wire out of the foamish white jacket(those in-wall speaker cables)
2.)Why did you remove the outer jacket?
It's kinda of hard for me to cut the outer jacket off and remove the foam.
When I finally did it- it was pretty easy- but every time I needed to strip a little bit of wire to get the copper it would pull.
In other words once I strip to get a little bit of bare wire- well the other side- get's pushed in so I have to take the whole thing out
3.)What are your room acoustics like?
It's just a 2 channel in a living room. ceiling is 8 foot, small place , its not an HT yet.
4.)Analog computer jackets are VERY noisey. Try unplugging it and see what it sounds like.
True, the audigy 2 zs has a good signal to noise ratio, however with the impact acoustics sonicwave cables, Isn't that supposed to turn off the noise?
I don't get the need for using a hair dryer with the blue jeans banana plugs and THANKX! for replying, I really need advice.
