Samsung Electronics announced a range of new audio products at the CES Show last year. There are two models, one with a stand designed for permanent placement and one without a stand that's designed to be more portable. Those new models are the WAM7500 and the WAM6500 Portable Speakers.

These are bookshelf speakers and that means they were designed to be placed on a shelf, table, or other surface as a 1.0 channel unit. Both designs are 360-degree speakers which, according to Samsung, use a ring radiator to provide a rich-bodied sound experience no matter where you are in the room unlike conventional speakers that project sound in a single direction.

This is what Jurack Chae, Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics had to say about their new speakers:
"This breakthrough in approach to audio came through the utilization of proprietary ‘Ring Radiator’ technology which allows sound to flow in a 360-degree radius, with the perfect balance between treble and bass. We know how much people love music and that’s why we are expanding our portfolio to bring high-quality, wireless audio into the home. With the new WAM7500/6500 people can enjoy a vibrant sound wherever they are, while our new Curved Soundbars perfectly complement the TV viewing experience.”

The stand type (model 7500) features an elegant design that will match your room decor and probably make the wife happy. The movable type (model 6500) comes with a built-in battery. This way listeners will be able to enjoy their tunes wherever they are. Both models will support Bluetooth and will be able to connect to devices like TVs, soundbar, ipods and smartphones and offer multi-room capability. While these may not be an audiophile's dream, they may seem interesting to any regular consumer. Check out the following features!
