Samsung LED HDTVs

I was reading a thread in a forum about the new samsung led Lcd tv. A customer bought a New Samsung Led LCD and had black spots in the side and center of the screen. Has anyone had ever try these new led-lcds? Would like to know more about them.

Just wondering how many of you know that the Samsung LED backlighting is actually only around the edges of the panel? Sharp are currently the only ones selling an LED backlit display that is full array backlit? I have seen the Samsung but not the Sharp so I don't know how much difference that makes. Just an FYI.
