After 31 yrs HBO pulls the plug on Inside the NFL arguably the most intensive most insightful show covering the NFL, my parents bought HBO 1 yr after Inside The NFL started when our neighborhood was wired for cable (many dont know it used to come on at 8:00pm nightly) and my dad had a lock box installed by COX cable to keep kids from watching naughty films
(It had actually had a key to lock it!). For the last 30 yrs I have had HBO non stop and no doubt have watched I.T.NFL weekly.
NFL films ..always outstanding re-caps of the weekly games, the interviews and stories of past and present players aswell as NFL related news were probably the best produced short stories ever made and will be missed. From the early staff to todays final rouster HBO always provided a great panel of players, NFL insiders and journalists to cover the stories. On top of all this it was commercial free, a truely sad end of an era.
