Just got back from pissing off the folks at Best buy. I moved, hauled, and crawled around the back of the base module and all I could see were 5 RCA jacks, a power cord, and what appeared to be either a DB9 or DB25 jack (I couldn't tell without flipping the unit). So what goes where, I do not know. But there is no line level sub input.

I don't think there is but there is a rca dedicated sub cable in that mass amount of cable but your best bet is to set it up as suggested by Bose trought the acoustimass and set to large like previously stated the sub is set to handle the cubes xover and Bose doesn;t suggest direct speaker to receiver set up

A passive sub will have to be connected to the B speaker connectors. The "sub out" is a line level connection. I'm reasonably confident that the B&$# sub does not have a line level input. (However, I work 150 feet from a BB, I'll check at lunch and modify this response as necessary.)
Mudcat and friends, it´s me again!! remembre me? I turned the sub off on the receiver but nothing seemed to happen. The Accoustimass is conected to the sub out line, should I unplug it from there? and also keep the NO on the receiver settings for the sub?
The speakers are set to large and connected to the sub as indicated on the specs or Bose. I am trying to do my best but with the thigs that I did I lost sone power, I believe.
Before: Sub "ON", small speakers, connected to the sub, sub out connected
Now: sub OFF, large speakers, connected to the sub, sub out line connected
