RX-Z9 substitute

Any rumors for a RX-Z9 substitute at CES 2006?

I assume you know that for noticeably less than the price of a new RX-Z9, you could buy a RX-V2600 (or similarly priced, comparable product) with all the latest bells/whistles and add a very good external amplifier with 200 watts/channel across 5 channels. Something to consider. AV receivers are somewhat like computers.....there will always be a new format or connectivity feature at some point in the future (ie, receiver decoding formats, etc. can become obsolete or outdated, whereas an amplifier is a more straightforward and future-proof investment).

Just buy the Z9 you know you want it. Or how bout that bigdaddy dennon? For the love of god you really would be better off with a 2600 0r 4600 and a amp. Whats your beef?

I really like Yamaha receivers, because of the front fx speakers. But I think the Z9 is far behind the competition... But I still want a Yamaha. That is why I am asking about the CES 2006.
