RX-V2600 owners....

I'm looking to buy the 2600 and was wondering where would be a GOOD and SAFE place to buy one. Which on-line dealers have the best price and service?I know Yamaha is rather strict about on-line sites and the warranty.ANY and ALL info. would be greatly appreciated. Tnx.

If you want warranty support go to http://www.yamaha.com/yec and make sure whoever you buy it from is on their authorized dealer list.

My advise would be to at least start with a local shop if possible. With a little haggling they may be surprisingly competetive with the internet sites.

Yamaha sells the RX line exclusively through authorized dealers, never online. Anything you see online for these receivers is not supported by Yamaha. I was looking to get a deal online, but ended up having to get mine at the local HT store.

I ended up at Tweeter. You can get them down a little but not much. You could go with the HTR-5990 and then be able to get it from Best Buy. But these are only the RX-V1600. The 2600 doesn't have an HTR- equal.
