Could someone with a RX-V1 please measure the width of their receiver for me? I've seen two different dimensions for it. I've got one coming in the mail and would like to get a stand for it before it comes but the one I'd like to get will only hold a component 18" wide. I've seen both 17 1/2" & 18 1/2". The manual I downloaded says it's 18 1/2" but this site lists it as 17 1/2". I'd sure appreciate your help. Thanks. I'd also like to say I've been enjoying this site for some time and have learned from you folks. I'm not quite as stupid as I was.

I can't help with the V1, but my RX-V3000 is 17.625" wide with the removable plastic side caps. Remove them and you've got just over 17"

Thanks hawke. I got the 17 1/2" dimension from here. http://www.audioholics.com/images....V1e.jpg
It actually reads 17 7/16" but I noticed the 471mm is the same as the manual which converts to 18 1/2". Guess I'll have to find another rack than the one I wanted to park that monster. Thanks again.
