RSP-1068 OSD trouble

Hi guys! This question I guess are for the "ROTEL EXPERTS" I don't know, maybe am just not reading the instructions on the manual but I really can't figure why the OSD/MENU doesn't display on screen or on the processor itself. This I know for some of you is a newbie kind of question but if you know, please reply. thanks!

i'm guessing you have component outs connected to your monitor/display/projector. most receivers with OSD's need to have a composite cable connected to view the OSD.

you're gonna have to use both component and composite, and then switch to the appropriate input to see the OSD.

Thanks Mike! But I did connect a composite video/audio on the V1 out of the pre-amp and plugged it in the V1 of the monitor and still I can't see the OSD. Am I missing anything?

hmm, you did switch the monitor to the v1 input right?

also check you are using the monitor out instead of the video 1 input or the composite 1 out on the pre-amp

page 16 of the manual, upper right portion indicates one of the probable causes why OSD will not display.

page 40 also has more solutions to fixing the OSD

apparently, the 1068 can output OSD out of component/s-video/composite ...
but I would still use composite to be sure.


pls check your connections again if you are using the monitor outs instead of the video in or outs. (and that you are pressing the "menu/osd" button on your remote)

Got it Bro! I was assuming a while ago that it was the video out but then I saw the monitor out and that was it! Salamat ng marami. 'didn't notice right away that you're from Manila.
