Rotel vs Nad pre amp

How does the Rotel RSP 1068 pre/pro($1,499) stack up against the NAD T 163 ($1,699)? I am currently using a Yamaha RX V2400 as a pre/pro and running it through my amp, an Adcom GFA-7605. I am also using JBL Northridge tower speakers and a SVS 20-39pci subwoofer. I am going to move this equipment into a dedicated theater room, but I want to keep the 2400 in the family room.

While I would personally prefer the ROTEL for its excellent built, I consider both products to be exceptional. Your deciding points may well be the features one has that you need more than the other. Also consider remote control flexiblity that you find more apt for you.

I am not sure which preamp has a better set of output specs to match your ADCOM input requirements. But between SS separates, I wouldn't worry so much about that.
