Rotel Reciever VS Processor and seperate AMP

I am stuck and could use some honest advice. I am currently have a denon 1803, and just went from B&W 603's to B&W FPM. I want to change my reciever 50% becuase of looks and 50% becuase of sound quality.

Is there a big different in sound quality between the Rotel RSX-1067 reciever, and the seperate processor RSP-1068 and seperate ampifier? anyone done a sound test?

I have the 1068 with an Outlaw amp and really love it. I've read reviews of their receiver that have been very favorable. I probably would have gone with the receiver, but I really wanted to have true separates. One thing about the receiver that was a big deal for me was the amount of heat it generates. The only place I can put a receiver or pre/pro is not well ventilated. I've had a Sony ES receiver in there at one time that was like a furnace. I think the Rotel gets even hotter, so keep that in mind.

I have the rotel rsx1056 with 603s3's and they sound fantastic.To answer your question i beleive as i have read in other forums and such that the receiver/processing compared to the rsp1068 is about the same except you get a tuner with the rec.As far as the 1067 is concerned you can get a 1056 plus a good 2ch amp for less than the 1067 and would be a better performer.My understanding is other than the 7 ch and 25 more watts of the 1067 its the same as the 1056.Those extra 25 watts really dont do anything in comparison.

all good advice becuase it seems to cost a lot more to go the way of buying seperate. I have individual floating shelves for my av equipment so heat is not fact at all.

just so you know i have my rotel in a wall unit.It's actually in the tv stand portion of the wall unit.It has doors which i keep open.I have yet to have any heat problem,and it's on all day.I have to use it to watch tv etc.
