Thank you Peng, Slippery, Highlander, and fmw. You all helped me very much, taught me a lot, saved me $$$, and assisted me in getting my setup to the point where I hoped it would be when I purchased it. I also want to thank my audio dealer and Oppo for their help and knowledge.

I feel grateful, honored and privileged to be part of this group. That may sound a bit excessive and over the top, but when stereo audio is one's favorite and most spiritually fulfilling avocation and interest, I think my gratitude is proportionate to the pleasure I receive from my music.

Thanks!

I can't resist saying this, if your dealer offer to sell you any cables costing more than $50 again, please do your own research and/or come back here for opinions first, then make your informed decision.:)

I missed this post, but I see that you were in great hands. The Triton Fives have excellent Bass Response and should not come across distorted or muddy. In my experience with GoldenEar, placement of the speakers is paramount and tend to have a greater impact on sonic quality than other brands I have owned. 10-12 feet apart slightly toed in the listening position is ideal. Don't cram the speakers into a corner and give it about 1.5-3 feet away from a side wall tended to work best for me. That was based on the recommendation from Sandy Gross.
