D dpriest Audioholic Intern Oct 8, 2023 #1 Hi all, I just connected the Rotel RB-1582 MkII to my Yamaha Aventage RX-A6A receiver. I want the Rotel to power the FL and FR speakers. I connected the Rotel according to both the Yamaha and Rotels with no sound coming from the speakers. What am I doing wrong???

lovinthehd Audioholic Jedi Oct 8, 2023 #2 Did you use balanced or unbalanced connection and did you make the appropriate selection on the amp? Most avrs have live pre-outs but amp assigment could come into play, did you check that? Is the amp for sure functional?

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Oct 11, 2023 #4 If you aren't using the trigger input, you should set that to off also. Note that if you don't use the trigger, you have to manually turn it on or leave it on all the time.
