I have purchased 15 24"x24"x2" (30 sq.ft.) of acoustic panels from eD. I have treated the areas directly behind the speakers, the center of the wall directly behind my listening position, and first reflection points on the walls. The hardwood floor has a large central rug. I have 5 panels left that I intended on placing randomly on the ceiling.
I rent the house I currently live in. I have used thumbtacks to fasten the wall mounted panels. Deodorant or toothpaste can fill the holes when I move out. I don't want to do this with the ceiling panels, as it would tick me off to find a tack or three on the floor with my foot one day.
I would like to know your thoughts on how to hang ceiling treatments without breaking the lease, or otherwise screwing up the place and losing the deposit when I leave. A better way the hang the wall panels would be welcome, too.
